Have your first activity be the choice of what you would like to explore. This curated 5.5-hour Sedgefield/Wilderness experience is designed for smaller groups of up to 22 guests, offering a relaxed and engaging exploration of the Garden Route’s natural and cultural highlights. The tour includes a guided Protea Farm Tour and Swartvlei Lagoon boat cruise with Dawn to Dusk, followed by a lunch break (own account) before continuing with a 1-hour E-biking experience and historical walk in Wilderness with Side Street Adventures. Our time allocates transport time to and from Wilderness and Sedgefield and activities can start in either Sedgefield or Wilderness, with transfer time included. Blending nature, water-based exploration, heritage, and gentle adventure, this experience offers a well-balanced and immersive Wilderness journey.

Expand allProtea Farm Tour
Step into a living rainbow of proteas, South Africa’s iconic flower. Learn how they are grown from seeds and cuttings, and—depending on the season—wander among vibrant fields of blooms. Visit the packing shed (on request) to see how proteas are prepared for export.
Estuary Boat Cruise
Unwind on a scenic cruise along the tranquil Hoogekraal River, surrounded by lush wetlands and fynbos views. Sip on local craft beer and gin while enjoying a selection of delicious finger foods. A relaxed, flavour-filled outing perfect for winding down. Breakfast excursion also available. Sit back, relax and unwind to the murmur of the engine as we explore unnavigated waterways.
Lunch and Transfer between Sedgefield and Wilderness
(lunch at own account, transfer at own accord)
1 Hour and 30 minutes is allocated for a lunch in either Wilderness or Sedgefield.
Wilderness has some great restaurants such as The Girls, Ilalis and Pomodoro and in Sedgefield, dine at Montecellos or Pili Pili.
As you use your vehicle to transfer between Wilderness and Sedgefield, it will take roughly 20 minutes.
E-Biking in Wilderness
Guided e-biking in Wilderness through scenic coastal routes and forests, offering a relaxed and accessible Garden Route adventure.
Wilderness Historical Walk
Join us for our guided walking activity that explores the rich history of Wilderness. Starting at Side Street Adventures walking past the well known wilderness hotel to the Statue of Leentjie overlooking the wilderness beach. Hear stories from our guide about the past residents who shaped our little town. Perfect for anyone seeking a fresh and informative experience.
